Today I stumbled upon Manzanar – National Historic Site in California while traveling from Yosemite to Death Valley NP.
Located in Independence, CA this military style camp held 10,000 of the 120,000 incarcerated Japanese American Citizens during World War II.
Pictures in black and white to reflect my mood after the visit.

Wow! I had no idea that such a place existed! The black and white photos are certainly appropriate to depict a mood of solemness and how it must of been to be imprisoned there. Thank you for sharing!
There were total of 10 Japanese internment camps I believe, most of them in the western areas of US.
